The Journal of Animal Science Research accepts scientific articles in the fields of animal science in the condition of considering the following cases:
1- Acceptance conditions
1-1- Only an article will be published in the journal which its text hasn’t been simultaneously sent in any other journals, or published in any journals or conference proceedings.
1-2- A separate file with the arrangement of authors and a specific corresponding author should be signed by all authors and send to the journal. Also, all authors are responsible for the content of the article.
1-3- The editorial board has the right to reject, accept or edit the article based on the reviewers’ idea.
1-4- The original article which sent to the journal's office will not be returned to the authors.[T1]
2- Format of the article (sample article)
2-1- General Points
2-1-1- Article should be prepared in A4 paper with maximum 10 sheets in two columns and 1 cm line spacing. Also, margins of the article should be set as following: 3.5 cm in top, 2 cm in bottom, 2 cm in the right, and 2 cm in the left. It is necessary to insert the tables and figures in the text of the article. Moreover, article should be solely submitted electronically through the journal system. The authors should also suggest three reviewers who will be able to provide expert review of the submitted manuscripts.
2-1-2- The article should be typed using B. Yagot font (the Persian parts) with the following font sizes:
Article title: 14 points (bold).
Subtitle (bold) and text of the article: 12 points.
The title of the tables and figures (bold), the authors of the article, references, and keywords: 11 points.
Words and numbers inside the tables and figures: 9 to 11 points.
Footnotes: 10 points.
2-1-3- All letters and words in English should be written using Times New Roman font.
2-1-4-Any English words in the text of the article, with the exception of scientific names, should be written in Persian and then exact English word should be referred in footnotes with the number (parenthesis should not be used in footnotes). The authors’ name of English references in the text of the article should be written in Persian without footnote referring.
2-1-5- Scientific names should be written in italic throughout the article.
2-1-6- Either in Persian or English, title of the tables should be written above the tables, while the title of the figures should be written below the figures (without using parenthesis). Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and their title should be written after dash.
Contents of the tables including titles, traits, parameters, legends, explanations, and … should be written in both Persian and English, while numbers should be written only in English.
In figures, the titles of horizontal and vertical axis, explanations, and legends should also be written in both Persian and English, while numbers only should be written in English.
2-1-7- Use the word "figure" instead of using words such as charts, images, pictures, maps, and so on. In figures, names of the variables and their scale in both horizontal and vertical axis should be specified in both the horizontal and vertical axis and numbers’ unit should be presented in the metric system.
2-1-8- The tables should be drawn without vertical lines, and horizontal lines only should be used to separate titles, headings, and other essential items. Figures also should be presented without framework and background.
2-1-9- When tables and figures referred at the beginning of the sentences in the text, it should be referred without using parenthesis. Though referring tables and figures at the end of a sentence should include parenthesis. Example:
- Figure 2 shows the linear relationship between the two variables.
- The relationship between two variables is linear (Figure 2).
2-1-10- The number of all formulas (if they are numbered) should be inserted inside the bracket.
2-1-11- All English footnotes should begin with a capital letter.
2-1-12- Referring references in the text should be based on author’s name and date and articles submitted to the journal should follow the instruction. With this instruction, year of publication should come after the authors' last name in parenthesis. If there are more than two authors, the first author’s name should be mentioned first, then write the phrase of “et al”. If the reference used at the end of the sentence, it should be placed in parenthesis. While referring more than one reference, references should be ordered first chronologically, and then alphabetically. All referred references in the text should also be included in the reference section.

- Bouyeh and Hall (2012) reported that …
- Increasing in heart weight is an important index (Ayeh et al. 2012; Bouyeh and Hall 2012; Ebrahimi et al. 2013; Handerson et al. 2014).
2-1-13- article identification sheet included name and surname of author or authors of the article, their affiliation (academic rank and their institute), and corresponding author’s address accompanied with phone number (especially cell phone), and e-mail address in both Persian and English which should be uploaded at the time of article submission to the journal. In main article’s file, prevent using authors’ name and their affiliation under the title of the article.
2-1-14- In Persian parts of the article, half-space should be used between two syllabus words, plural signs, prefixes, and suffixes.
2-2- Arrangement and format of the various sections of the article
2-2-1. The title of the article should be short, fluent, and represent the content of the article and should be set at maximum of 20 words. It is not necessary to bring the scientific names of organisms, when they have a common name. Also, abbreviations and chemical formulas should not be used in the title. Furthermore, the use of words such as "study" and "evaluation" is not recommended at the beginning of the title.
2-2-2- Persian abstract should be provided in one paragraph and should be compact and illustrative collection of 5 sections: background, objective, methods, results, and conclusions which should be set between 250- 350 words. In this section, referring to the references, tables or figures’ number, and/or footnotes should be avoided. Also, it is advisable not to use the equations, formulas and abbreviations (except for standard signs) in the abstract. Scientific names and chemical formulas can be used in the abstract.
2-2-3- Keywords should be written in alphabetical order (first Persian and then English words) immediately after the Persian abstract.
2-2-4- The introduction should be included a clear explanation of the problem or research subject, the related literature on the subject, and at the end, the aim of the research.
2-2-5- Materials and Methods should be explanatory enough and included characteristics of the location of the experiment, description of the materials, experimental instruments, experimental methods, statistical analysis, and experimental designs. In this section, refuse to describe the methods that were not used in the research. Additionally, it is better to avoid a complete description of the commonly used methods, instead just mention the amendments of the method and reference the original article used the method. The method of experiment should be complete and clear enough to allow other researchers if necessary be able to reproduce the experiment.
2-2-6- Results and Discussion included explanation of the results of the experiment, tables and figures, logical and convincing discussion, and conclusion. In this section, mentioning the materials and methods should be prevented. Tables and figures shouldn’t have repeated information. Detailed descriptions of the tables and figures should be avoided and only the important points should be mentioned. The results of the statistical analysis should be represented in the form of a table or figure, and significant differences should be specified with appropriate marks.
The discussion involves interpretation of the results of the experiment, expression of the causes and effects, and its possible theoretical and practical applications. In addition, it is necessary to use the findings of other researchers in interpreting the results and enriching the discussion. However, for a reasonable discussion, it is not enough just mentioning expressions such as "matching and mismatching the results with others", while explaining about the reason of these similarities and contradictions can help to enrich the discussion. The editorial board would not be able to accept articles without referring to references in this section.
Note: Results and discussion can be presented together or separately, but if separated, the results should not be repeated in the discussion and it should contain common results, concept, and interpretation of the results.
2-2-7- In the acknowledgements section, authors appreciate the cooperation, assistance, and funds of people and institutes in conducting the research.
2-2-8- References include a list of Persian references or English references which all written in English and arranged in alphabetical order without numbering. The following points should be considered in the writing of this section.
2-2-8-1- This section should only include references referred in the text of the article. Prevent referring to the references that are not mentioned in the text.
2-2-8-2- In all references, the surname is followed by the abbreviated first name without using period. In one reference, the names of the authors should be separated using comma, except for the last one which separated with "and".
2-2-8-3-In the references section, the names of all authors should be mentioned, avoid using et al. in order to remove the name of some of the authors.
2-2-8-4- All references should be sort based on an alphabetical order using the sort text icon (Ascending) of the Microsoft word. If there are two or more references of the same author in one particular year, use “a, b, c” besides the year to make them distinguishable.
2-2-8-5- Publication year should come immediately after the authors’ names. Insert comma before, and period after the year of the references. Afterward, the title of the reference should be mentioned.
2-2-8-6- Pamphlet should not be used as a reference.
2-2-8-7- In the case of referring to an article in scientific journals, the name of the journal, the issue number and the first and last pages of the article should be mentioned at the end of the reference. While referring to a scientific conference, venue and first and last pages of the article should be mentioned. Referring to a book includes the insertion of the publisher’s name at the end of the reference.
2-2-8-8- In the references section, capital letters should be used for the first letter of the first word of the title, the first letter of authors’ surnames, the summarized authors' first name, and the first letter of all words of journal, conference, publisher, and institute name.
2-2-8-9- Referring to the internet pages is not acceptable.

- If all the chapters of a book were written collaboratively by one or more authors, it should be referenced as follows:
Authors’ surnames and summarized first names, year of publication, book title, publisher.
Hay KM and Robert R, 1989. An introduction to the physiology of crop yield. Leonard Hill, London.
- If each seasons of a book has a separate author or authors, and the whole book was edited by one or more editors, it should be referenced as follows:
Authors’ surnames and summarized first names, year of publication, chapter title, chapter pages, editors’ surnames and summarized first names, book title, and publisher.

- If a reference doesn’t have a specific author, instead of the author's name "Anonymous" should be used in the references section and “Anonymous” should be used in the text.

Note: Prevent referring to the submitted articles which lack acceptance, volume number, and pages in the references section. Referring to these types of references in the text of the article should be by mentioning authors’ names accompanied by “(submitted)”. [T2]
2-2-9- English abstract should be comprehensive and contains at least 700 words including the following sections:
Introduction
Material and Methods
Results and Discussion
Conclusion
The following issues should be considered in the English abstract.
2-2-9-1- In the title of the article, only the first letter of the first word and the proper nouns should be written with capital letters.
2-2-9-2- Key words should be organized based on alphabetical order.
Guide for the statistical analysis section: It is recommended that the authors consult with statistical experts regarding experimental data analysis before writing the article. The statistical method and the experimental design should be clearly explained. Except for ANOVA, t- student's test, and chi-square test, whenever referring to the statistical analyzes, reference and software version (if used) should also be mentioned. Significant difference between the studied effects should be specified with the proper letters in tables and figures.

Disclosure of conflict of interest and signed copyright form are required when you submit your article to the journal.
Fees and Charges
The cost of reviewing and publishing of the article is equal to 2500,000 Rials. This cost should be payed in one stage after the acceptance of the article.
