Double Blind Peer Review Process

After the submission of an article, Editor-in-chief evaluates quality and relevance of the article with the scope of the journal. If an article is not qualified for further evaluations, the article will be rejected without peer reviewing (one or two weeks). If an article merits the journal's scope and its qualifications, Editorial Board will suggest relevant peer-reviewers (usually two reviewers according to double blind peer reviewing) based on the fields of the article (one or two weeks). After reviewing of the article (minimum of two weeks and maximum of 8 weeks), based on the reviewer's decision, article will be either rejected or asked for revision. Then, the author will be requested to answer to the peer-reviewer's comments and questions and also clarify ambiguities in a due time of two weeks. Receiving the revision after two weeks will be treated as a new submission, though if the author requests more time from the Editor-in-chief, it may be granted. After receiving the revised article, one of the peer reviewers will re-evaluate the article and author's responses (an article can be re-evaluated in this stage up to five rounds). After the last round of reviewing, the article will be granted acceptance or rejection. Next, the accepted article will be revised by Associate Editors and sent back to author for the corrections and put in the queue for publication (two or three months for English articles to be published).
